How to Apply
- Applicants can apply via coalition or common application at the university
- Documentation: Include an essay, official transcripts/documents for all four years of high school/secondary school (grades 9-12).
- Applicants are considered for admission based on their academic potential. A holistic review leads to a decision. After high school graduation, students with less than 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours will be reviewed on their final high school transcripts, including ACT or SAT scores. The cumulative grade point average of all post-secondary transcripts is reviewed for students with more than 30 earned semester hours or 45 earned quarter hours. Otterbein places a greater emphasis on the academic transcript because we believe it is a better indicator of student success and college readiness. As well as their unique talents, each student is also evaluated for their contributions to the Otterbein community
- The following language requirements must be met by students:
- An Internet-based TOEFL(iBT) score of 79 or higher is recommended.
- Score 550 or higher on TOEFL(PBT).
- The Pearson PTE must be 53 or higher
- Five or higher on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
- The Duolingo English Test should be 105 or higher.
- ACT test takers must score 21 or higher on the English section.
- At least 550 on the Evidence-based Reading and Writing (ERW) section of the SAT.
- Certificate of Level 112 from ELS.
