The ability to select career paths is a result of earning a college degree. Considering the significance of the study, the University of Alberta is offering the President’s International Distinction Scholarship. The scholarship is intended to ease the financial burden of high achieving international students so that they can earn top-notch education to maintain their academic success.

  • Criteria for Eligibility: Applicants must meet all the following criteria to be eligible:
  • Student visa permit holders with superior admission averages and demonstrated leadership skills entering their first year of an undergraduate degree.

How to Apply

  • Candidates must apply online and enroll in the undergraduate degree program to be considered for the program.
  • Photocopies of original documents are certified true copies only if they have been verified and signed by the organization issuing them. They must be authorized by the institution issuing them.
  • University Admission Criteria: Applicants must meet the university’s admission requirements.
  • English Language Requirement: The University of Alberta offers multiple ways to demonstrate you meet the requirements. These include:
  • Earn a minimum score on the U of A’s test of English Language Proficiency;
  • Complete certain courses approved by UAlberta and attain a certain grade in those courses;
  • The University of Alberta has recognized previous education in English;
  • Bridging Program at the University of Alberta.

Benefits                 

A total of $120,000 CAD will be awarded to each scholar to complete their education in Canada.
